Heat from a Vortech MP20

Hi

I'm thinking about adding a Vortech MP20 to my Betta 680 cube. I was planning on placing the Vortech on the back pane of glass, which will obviously be close to a wall.

Is there a minimum required distance to keep the motor away from the wall to avoid any heat issues?

Hi any heat generated by the pump obviously needs to convect to the surrounding air.

So as long at the unit is unobstructed to allow simple convection cooling it should not be a problem. The heat is dissipated from the side thins so the back can be close to the wall as little heat come out of the back where the logo is.
