hi.

I've been fiddling with my lamp and my controller.
I can get 1 of my ballast to work as dimmable, but I simply cannot get the other one to work.

I have connected my 6 tube(2ballast) ATI Powermodule to the EVG-AP-2F.

they seem(i think) correctly connected, but something is not right.

1 I can dimm from 000% to 100%. that is the one controlling 2 tubes.
the one controlling the last 4 just switches between 000% and 100%.

I have not had the profilux connected to my PC, as I thought I could make it work without connecting it to my pc. At this stage I am only trying to make it work, not programming my sunrise/set etc etc.

Does any of this sound familiar? or do you have and idea of what I should do, or check.. any other info I should post?

It sounds like the channel that has the second ballast connected to it, is set as non dimming, this would give the 0-100% effect you are seeing.

I agree.

can it be changed in the controls?

Go to Illumination> Illumination run> select the channel that isn't dimmable> select dimmable by pressing the down arrow. follow through the rest of the options and save

I would be interested to know if you manage to get this to work. When I got my light, Blue Zoo made enquiries to see if it would be possible to do this and they were told it would not work and you would need to buy the dimmable version of the powermodule instead - which I remember was a lot more money!

You do need the dimmable version of the powermodule as you need the 0-10v inputs to regulate the ballast.

The difference between the two are the ballasts, dimmables are more expensive and these have quite a few of them.
