View Full Version : Profilux and streams
My streams seem to either be at full blast or off:( I believe pumps and 1-10v are set right??
Any ideas?? Are my drivers knackered?
Thanks
Are you sure they are either on or off and not running slower?
I say this because to look at my streams being controled by the profilux you cant tell if they are on full chat or any setting just by looking at it. Try putting your hand infront of them for a while and see what it feels like?
ok i just got mine working today after alot of hassle but cracked it
set the pump % to:
0% minimum
100% maximum(this doesnt really matter)
set voltage at 3v min and 10v max
make sure you assign the correct current pump to the correct group
then set your timings. I have mine on 0.9
magnificent, so much better than the tunze controller
Thanks Guys, haven't had my hand in front so i'll try that, i was just watching the hair algea on them:o
set voltage at 3v min and 10v max
Wrong.
Should me 3 min and 8 max. (Steve told me this, no idea why though and I cant find it in the manual)
0% minimum
Also you would be better off at 20% as streams are not meant to be constantly stopped. It knackers them in no time.
sorry you are right craigg should be 8v, typo, if i set to 20% I dont get any wave. ill try it now
ok just had a play around.
if i set voltage to 1v minimum and wave to 20% minimum i get the correct wave
however if I set the voltage to 3v/20% minimum i get no wave
if i set to 3v/0% i get a wave ????!!!

That sounds like when you are running at 3v 20%min the wavebox isn't getting time to refill during the off stroke and so the wave won't appear.
the 3-8v settings came from someone testing a Tunze controller with a multimeter and seeing the output. I haven't done it myself, but I do have a controller here I can check this on.
