hole in two walls seahorse tank

as most of you know iv built a tank in the wall between my kitchen and livingroom (build thread in my sig) its nearly finnished jsut a few bits left to do but we sat down tonight and couldnt decide weather to have a reef tank as our original desgine or if we should have a seahorse tank (lost our seahorses some months ago and have fancied a setup for them since we were thinking of a 2x2x2 cube in the future but cant find the space for them,

only downside im thinking is that we will be limited on tank mates and corals just interested in what other people have in there tanks with there ponies so we can make a better decision

I have 4x Reidi, 2 x Blue Stripe Pipe Fish, 2 x Yellow headed Jawfish, 2 x Blue Neon Gobies, 1 x Yasha Goby and Pistol Shrimp, 2 x blood shrimp and various hermits and snails etc.

My Max is a temporary home, just lets me collect 'stuff' when I see it.

I'm planning an 'edge' of reef, one part rock wall with a 'lagoon' type area for 60-80% of the tank.

Depending on your aspiration you're not necessarily that limited. In one particular tank I have:

Eight H. comes
Pair Bangaii
Pair blue stripe pipes
Pair yellow head Jawfish
Copperband
Eight garden eels
Three flaming prawn gobies
Pair green chromis
Pair scribbled pipes
Chalk goby
Two cleaner shrimps
Four peppermint shrimps
Two blood shrimp
Lots of Kenya tree/mushroom/bush corals
Macro algae

The garden eels along with the comes make quite an entertaining display.

The comes breed so I guess the other tank mates don't stress them out much.

what flow do you run in your seahorse tanks as i know its not ment to be to much from my previouse ponie tank which was a lot smaller what i currently have which was setup for a reef is a or 3500 return as you can see in my build thread (it needs clipping back to the wall bjust havent got around to it but gives you a idea of were it is in the water, also a korilla 4 which will be on the oposite wall then i have another small power head i was going to put above the or3500 just facing the surface to give some movement this end.

ahh maybe not been in to the lfs today and my wife fell in love with a puffer so now its a fish only with some coral lol (going to keep the coral we have in our 3ft and then see how the porcupine puffer goes if he eats it itll be fish only im guessing and then theres a few fish we can have if not then it will be a reef with a puffer lol
