Hi,
can anyone recommend any photo import/catalouging software for macosx as an alternative for iphoto?
Hiya,
Yes Extensis 'Portfolio' is pretty good: http://www.extensis.com/en/products/asset_management/index.jsp;jsessionid=WLL4UFK1MDN4HLAQAAUARSQ
Or Adobe Bridge, but i'm not sure you can buy that outside the full 'creative suite' package.
You could try Front Row - its kinda pretty :)
Lightroom is excellent and so much more than just a catalogue. i rarly use photoshop anymore as lightroom can do almost everything i want.
you can download a 30 day trial at adobes own website.

Ditto... Lightroom is by far and away the best pro cataloguing/development software on the planet. You still need Photoshop, but less and less with each release.
:D
Lightroom 2 ftw.. just bought it after using the free 30 day trial.. going by the box it's platform independent (I use it for PC).
