What would I need?

I've not really looked into seahorses but my wife really likes then and pipefish.
What would be the equipment I need to run a successful seahorse/pipeish tank?
I was just looking at the STM wave cube 30/40 and wondered if that type of tank would be suitable? What would be the max stocking level (how many seahorses/pipefish could I keep)?
Do you need a skimmer or will the niagra hob filter be ok? What powerheads would I need?

1st, you need to do some research. Seahorses are quite maintenance heavy, 3-4 feeds a day, similar for pipefish.

30/40 litres, in my opinion, aren't big enough as a permanent home. Seahorses like height as much as foot print.

Not too much flow, enough to keep the food in the water column.

Skimmer would be preferable, but a HOB filter and regular water changes woul be OK, but need to be regular.
