Someone my son knows has a clutch of barbouri babies she is giving us.
I've set up a bare tank with a small heater and powerhead, running through foam pads and a foam wheel, fitted in the lid. I'll put a filter bag over the pump inlet to stop it sucking up babies, not that it's very powerful.
I breed my own San Francisco Bay brine shimps every day so feeding shouldn't be a problem if they will take them. I did think of getting some rotifers as well.
I've reared maroon clowns before and they need to be kept in green water (water tinted green with phytoplancton), which helps with the water chemistry and keeps the rotifers alive.
Do I need to keep the ponies in green water? Presumably they are more advanced when released by the male than clowns hatching from eggs.
