now that my kuda have died from a over heat i have decided to quit this part of the hobby until i can afford a chiller and a custom tank so i now have 2 clown fish in and will be looking for something else i think colourful fish now so i would like to say thankyou very much for all your help over the past months and i will return to seahorses when i can afford a better setup worthy of them

sorry to hear that mate.
Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but kuda are a tropical species (unlike Hippocampus abdominalis for example, which do require a chiller as they are a subtropical secies )
so what temp was your tank running at? i assume your not in the UK, are you in the US something? ,hence high tank temps out of your control?
again sorry for your loss, its gutting losing a horsey, i know from experience.
oh no i am in england suffering the rubbish weather too.
it was my heater as the water from the skimmer went everywhere which meant that the water level was low so the top of the heater was out of the water so it boiled the water to a very hot 38'c
