Hi

I set up the dosing pumps today.
A few q's please....

Is there a way to tell the GHL when to dose, or does it spread out the doses evenly throughout the day?

If you set the dose rate at 30ml/hour, does it stick to that or operate at default 60ml/min.... if it is set at 30 and you manually dose, does it dose at 60ml/min or at the dose set on GHL for each pump?

How can I tell if a dose has been given, or how much has been given that day so far?

I set the socket that the pump is plugged into to come on only when the pump is dosing.... however, it only gives the option to link the socket to one pump. If I select pump 1, and I want pump 2 to dose, will that also switch on the power to the socket when ready to dose?.... otherwise, I can only switch the power on for the pump when pump 1 wants to dose...... and not pump 2 or 3.

Is it ok to plug the pump into an always on socket?
I set the dosing pumps and plugged into an always on socket.... after 12 hours, no dosing (into a separate dish to test). Not sure if I have to leave it attached to a socket linked to a dosing pump.

Thanks for info...

The dosing pump will automatically spread the doses out over 24 hrs, 2 pumps will never run at the same time.

If you set the dose rate at 30ml/hour, does it stick to that or operate at default 60ml/min.... if it is set at 30 and you manually dose, does it dose at 60ml/min or at the dose set on GHL for each pump?

The Dose rate is for calibration, so that you can measure the amount delivered through your piping in a minute and adjust the flow rate accordingly, especially useful if you have a long pipe run or are running it with a lot of head.
The pumps always run at the same speed, but adjust the time they run to deliver the dose at the dose rate specified.

How can I tell if a dose has been given, or how much has been given that day so far?

There isn't a log of pump running times.

I set the socket that the pump is plugged into to come on only when the pump is dosing.... however, it only gives the option to link the socket to one pump. I think you might have this set up wrong, you should run all the power bars and dosing pumps from the S1/S4 socket on the Profilux, you will need to program them using the option in socket outlet functions to match the socket numbers you require with each one connected on it's own to the profilux for programming.

For instance if you have 2 x 4 pump dosers and 2 x 6 way powerbars I would program them as follows:

Dosing pump 1: Pumps starting at 1 running to 4
Leave the next 4 sockets blank for use of the S5/S8 socket for an analogue plugbar if required.
Dosing pump 2: Pumps starting at 9 running to 12
Powerbar 1: Sockets starting at 13 running to 18
Powerbar 2: Sockets starting at 19 running to 24.

Then under socket outlet functions set the following functions:
Socket 1 = Dosing Pump1
Socket 2 = Dosing Pump2
Socket 3 = Dosing Pump3
Socket 4 = Dosing Pump4
Socket 9 = Dosing Pump5
Socket 10 = Dosing Pump6
Socket 11 = Dosing Pump7
Socket 12 = Dosing Pump8

You can plug the dosing pumps directly into the mains or into an always on socket for power.

Hope that helps

Yup, I had it wrong.
I did what you said and it seems ok.... will test it into some containers today and let it go live later if it has dosed....

Thanks

If you do a manual dose, does it interfere with the programmed dosing?...
ie if I manually dose 10ml, will that be taken out of the programmed amount for the day?

Thanks

It will not affect the daily dosing, that will continue as programmed.
