There isn't a lot to it, say for example you have your LED moonlights running off L2. Then under simulation tick apply moonphase to L2 and that is it.
You will need to set the longitude and latitude of the location you want the moon phases relating to on the general page. Since your aquarium is not likely to see the natural moonlight you can pick anywhere, but I would suggest somewhere that has the same daylight hours as you run your lights and on the equator.
The way the moon phase works is quite simple, if the moon is at 80% of the full moon then the LED's will run at 80% of the current level you have set for that channel and only when they are programmed to be on.
Please, if you set this up don't call me on the new moon to say your moonlights aren't working... there is a period every month where you will get no light from your LED's just like the real moon.

Just a thought, but on the moon phase setting what is the moon showing ?. If it is a new moon the lights will not come on.
