I received my 4 socket plugbar today.
I need to pass the power cable through a hole in the back of the cabinet, only the plug won’t go through .
Will it be alright to cut this off and fit a 3 pin plug after I have fed the cable through or will this void my warranty.
I have also read in the manual that you should not connect older plugbars(profilux & profilux plus) as this will cause damage.
My plugbar looks different to the one one your site and only say profilux on it not profilux plus 11.How can you tell if the plugbar is the correct type.

Thanx

I think it does invalidate your warranty as soon as the plug is chopped off.
Could you not use something like this

Plug the plugbar into this socket, lop the plug off the extension, pass the cable through the cabinet and re-attach the plug. Not much cost and saves your warranty.

You obviously dont have to get one with such a long cable as the one in the pic. Pic just for illustration purpose.

Thanx for the idea.
I might have to resort to that .
I would have sooner have got all the cable out of my cabinet as it is only small(DD 24g).

Cant you make the hole larger in the cabinet? Id do that myself rather than cut plugs off bits of kit like that!

That is also and option.
But a big hole to drill with a full tank on top.

Just take it slowly with a hole cutter and it would be fine!
