View Full Version : Seahorse's for sale
Sadly and with great regret I've decided i must now rehome my remaining pair of Reidi.
They have been kept in a holding tank for quite some time now pending a new tank build but unfortunately the new tank is going to have to be put on hold for a while longer,
I'm not happy keeping them in the holding tank any longer so have little choice but to part with them :(
These are the far more expensive "Giant Brazilian Seahorse's" which cost £125 each!
Most will agree they are truly stunning......

Thanks Viv, very kind offer however due to my present situation and not knowing when i'll be able to continue the new build (could be months) I think the best option is for me to rehome them :(
Thanks for the offer though ;)

Well let me know Simon. If it means another 12 months (which I'm sure it won't be that long!!) I'm more than happy to help you out!
Hi Simon
Sorry to hear your new tank plans are on hold. You've obviously decided on the best thing for your stock and I'm sure that wasn't easy.
I'm sure you'll come back bigger and better in the future

Picked these up today, they seem to like it in their new home, they are in my old 6x2x2 marine tank, that I have had now for 8 years, I have just upgraded my marine system to an 8x3x3 to it was sitting waiting to make a nice home for some seahorses, they are beautiful, I can't stop looking at them, male is pregnant at the moment , I have not tried to raise fry before any advice would be greatly appriectiated.
thanks

prob is with reidi there are so many you can have in excess of 200,arnie used to have 200/300 plus and sly150.but you cant expect many to survive .thats why they have so many.you need to be a little ruthless im afraid.when they are born try to pick out the biggest ones dont take any that are floating on their sides as it meas they have swallowed air and are unlikely to survive.the best time to remove the babies is before the tank light is turned on as they are attacted to the light.when you catch them ue a beaker or a turkey baster never use a net as it is important that they do not snick air.i would also culture some bb.also i am going to try that zm food on some of my babies.i was so upset what with losing kuro and then arnie sly katherine jane and steven.but im just grateful i still have anne and spike tina and the babies.i have 3 other cats as well.theres lucifer who is my white long haired blue eyed boy, yuki who is white with long hair and amber eyes and tribble my black and white.but nothing can replace them.i will have to get anne some new tank mates but like yours they are giant reidi and hard to get at the moment.but she is eating so i think she will survive.anyway hope thats some help just shout i you want to know any more.den
