I am thinking that I would like to keep some seahorses. I have a reef tank which is roughly 24in cube. Here is the plan I would like to plumb in a second tank next to my cube.

At the moment i have an OR3500 running my return to the main tank - can I T the return to feed my seahorse tank aswell. Do I need a stronger pump?

I have two tanks which are roughly 2ft wide and long but quite shallow - would it be best to get a taller tank for the seahorses?

Another idea would be pipefish in a smaller aquarium with liverock, zoas and mushrooms etc

This is posted here as it will be filtered by the same miracle mud filter for the main display.

Hi
The shallower tank would be ok for Pipe's,but Seahorse's need height, especially if you plan to get a pair ?
Their mating dance involve's them rising up,through the water,so that's where the height needed come's in.
Also,Pipefish can handle more flow than Seahorse's,you don't want anything too choppy for them(horse's) flow wise.
As they just like to hitch onto macro algae's,and rockwork, without being blown around too much.
