Hi

Anyone give any advice on what camera to buy, but my budget is only £100-150. The primary reason for buying the camera is to get better pictures of the tank.

Hiya

I have a Nikon S210, it was £97, quite good actually

I would get a Panasonic Lumix TZ3, as they are awesome :)

Unless we know what you're using now we can't say what would be a "better" camera.. but the camera is only 20% of the picture.. there are a lot of low tech techniques for getting good tank shots from quite basic cameras.

Tell us what camera you use now, how you go about taking a tank shot and post a couple of examples.

I either use camcorder, Sony Handy cam HDD 30GB, or my mobile, so at the minute I basically can only take out of focus blurred pictures.

Canon make some really nice compact cameras in that price range. I just got the Canon isux 90(£150). Really good build quality and picture quality is excellent. Or u can get the isux 80 or 85 abit cheaper. They all get excellent reviews. Well worth a look.

You could get a used canon 300D outfit for that. A very capable fist time digi SLR. You could then expand your lens & accesory range and upgrade the body at a later point and still be able to use them.

Going to make a purchase this weekend, for my Birthday (present to myself) I'm currently thinking Pentax W60, gives me the option of getting it wet!

Any thoughts?
