Hi,

Just looking for some pre-purchase advice.

Proposed main tank is going to be 26" x 26" x 26" cube, volume approx. 63 gallons.

Maximum size of the sump would be 22"L with flexibility on the height and width.

What size of sump would you recommend to run an ecosystem filter for the above tank?

Have been looking at Tunze outlets which are rated at 1500l/hr would this be enough flow for the filter....

:thanks:

Hi

the usual advice is to go for the biggest sump that you can get away with. but bear in mind that you may have to fit lots of other equipment in your cabinet. what else is the sump competing for space with?

ro reservoir, but this can be made to fit.

what about ballasts, calcium reactor, kalk strirrer, phos reactor, CO2 cylinder, sockets, timer switches. I followed the usual advice and now have my ballasts, CO2 and kalk stirrer sitting outside the cabinet - this hasn't gone down well at home.

my sump is 36*16 for a 54*20 tank so if you can fit a 22*18 sump go for it.

i think that your return pump may also be underpowered
