do i need to run my lamp over my chateo 24/7
if not, are there any consequences?

i run mine on reverse to the main tank lights as do a lot of other ppl i don't think there will be to much of a prob lighting 24/7 but using the reverse lighting it helps keep PH swing in check through "night and day"

if you are following the ecosystem method to the letter then you should run lights 24/7...it really is all dependant on your sump layout, the amount of 'mud' (if it's actually miracle mud or mineral mud or sand etc) and the amount of caulerpa. I've always run mine 24/7 and have no problems whatsoever. Go to the ecosystem site and there's tons of info there.

Gives the lounge a nice bluey glow from behind the tank cabinet too!!
