i need someone to help please,

we have always run 2 external filters and all our levels for fine.

we have now got a sump and we have had it running for a week with miracle mud, lr, cheato...but was was advised to keep one of our largest external filter running for 2 weeks or so, since the sump and external have been used our phospate is high , nitrate is high, and my corals are not happy and discolouring.

is this true that i keep my external filter running at this time with also the sump?
or could they be conflicting with eachother.

Keep the filter running until the sump has matured bacteria colonised, then take of line .

the nitrates are off the scale did a water change last night and just now...external filter is 1200 lph

how much LR did you add?
what is your in tank circulation like?

how high are your phosphates?
