View Full Version : ProfiLux View II - Socket numbers?

I was going to post saying that I thought there was a fault with my View II - two numbers (2 and 7) are displayed to the right of the changing lines of the display, one on each line, one in each column (apologies if that isn't clear - I'll take a picture if it helps!) Then I noticed that one of the numbers disappeared when one of the timers turned a socket off.
So I looked to see what else was turned on - there were still a number of sockets, but when I overrode one of them (the heater) and turned the socket off, the second number disappeared.

So they aren't completely random - they do correspond to socket function. But there's no one-to-one mapping between what is turned on (or off) and what is displayed. Just two numbers...

Am I (once again) being dense?

Anyone with a View II have a clue what I'm talking about?

I haven't got time for a full explanation, but it is sockets that are active based on that sensor. So against your temp probe you will have your heater sockets when they are active.
I'll try and remember the full details when I have more time.

I thought that was what it was trying to tell me Steve, and it would make sense except.....

The numbers stay where they are, even when the sensors aren't displayed. So as the display scrolls round, I might have "Illumination 3 0%" and then a "2" next to it. In addition, the second number that is displayed is a "7" - that relates to a socket that is only turned on and off by a timer. However there are 5 other sockets that are turned on and off by timers and those numbers don't display!

At the moment it seems a bit inconsistent - and that's the thing that winds me up :D

Ian,

Following your request, a new BETA firmware has been released which will now show all socket statuses and the sensor that is alarming (which I think was another one off your requests).
