I also have a MM set up with no skimmer & 2x 250 MH, but i cant keep SPS. C'mon tell us how its done :D

thanks for the kind comments [ i dont have a a skimmer on mine [by choice ] IMHO i think the key is a stable tank good water movement good lighting etc storm IMHO you wont grow sps under 20,000k you need 10,000 k and you say lots of fish and critters if your not running a skimmer then your always going to find it hard to maintain stable conditions [Steven go for it] one thing i find do lots of water changes that way if you use a good salt there is no need to keep adding bottle's of supplements sorry its a little vague but without knowing what your parm are i can only generalise pete
