moonlights

Hi,

Has anyone updated the 4 led moonlights that the rsm 130d comes with?
and if so how, i would likea few more if thats advised.

Hi

Yes I've added a strip of waterproof blue LED's, got them off fleabay for about 7 pounds.

They require a little bit of fiddling to fit, but look very effective

Be careful doing this as some led's give off significant heat. Not the led itslef, but the "behind the scenes" components. I have tried a couple and they ran dangerously warm considering they were attached to the plastic Max hood.

I also bought 2 strips of blue LEDs from fleabay and so far have worked great.

I believe redseasteve saw them when he came round to mine once and liked them but I am not disagreeing with what he says either.

The ones Paul have run pretty cool. The higher intensity more "commercially available" ones however can create significant heat, for which the Max is not designed.
