View Full Version : Thanks!!!!
HI Steve, just wanted to say thanks for helping me get the replacement tank sent!, your customer service is 1st class, and i will have total faith in continuing to buy from interpet and RED SEA.
I have recieved the tank, and although it was a bit of a nightmare, i have swapped them over and now have the new one stocked and the old one ready for pick up., see my build thread to see how.... my wife wasn't that impressed when i took over the kitchen and the lounge...lol.
well thanks again for your time and help, even when you were overseas...
i hope they pay you well!-
Darren.
ps, how was denmark, i lived there for 10 years, and my wifes a dane...
was there much snow?
Can I ask why the tank was changed??....I have to add that I have had nothing but sterling customer service from Interpet and Steve from Redsea.
the tank was changed as the top trim was 7mm out of true, so it looked like the tank was not level, and the skimmer hood wouldn't close right down as the skimmer was a little too high...
Steve said that he hadn't seen this in the 3 years he had worked for them, and arranged a replacement straight away.

Totally agree, Steve & Red Sea's customer service is superb. He/they have always answered any problems & have sent any replacement parts through quickly.
Excellent service indeed in these difficult trading times.

Glad you got the replacement ok. Still remains a total mystery as to how one escaped with a wonky trim. We have kept the picture for posterity as none of us had seen one!
Sorry it was so much hassle for you, but onwards and upwards now!
Now this is really funny this one. I have been baffled why the water level was so 'squint' in my tank compared to the trim and at first just put it down to my floor. However was puzzled why the table that sat there before hand never had anything roll of the table. I will check with a spirit level when I get home.
Will get back later with results. Hopefully it is not the same problem because it is about 1/2 an inch out from one side of the aquarium to the other which is a large slope over the length of the room.

Well it does indeed seem that I also have a faulty hood. I could not find my spirit level but I measured the trim between the top and bottom of the tank on the left and right side of the tank. There is a 7mm difference which is why my tank looks like it is squint!!!! I did wonder how I had never noticed the floor being so slanted. It has been driving me crazy for the last 4 weeks.
