I have just added the wireless lan card to my Profilux EX. I can configure the card from the profilux software per the instructions and log onto to its web interface directly to check its settings etc. When I change the configuration from the profilux software I get a 'resetting module' message suggesting it can see it over the serial bus. However, whenever I try and connect to it using the connection screen in the profilx software it will not connect (even though it will find it during discovery).

Anyone ever seen anything similar. The profilux is connected over USB directly and all else appears normal.

Regards

Simon

Hi,

I have the wired LAN card in my ProfiLux - didn't have too much hassle setting it up to be honest.

Have you rebooted the ProfiLux? I know it sounds a bit like a typical help-desk response, but that fixed mine when it was behaving similarly to yours.

Thanks Ian. I am an IT bod by background so the good ole reboot was number one on the list but sadly had no affect. All a bit bizarre as the Profilux can see the card on its bus when it starts and talk to it over what I assume is a serial bus as it can set the IP address and SSID from the Profilux software when connected via USB. However, it would appear the card can't see the Profilux when trying to connect to it. Matthias is on the case with me in the Profilux support forum so if I get it solved I will post here unless of course anyone else has any ideas?

Thanks

Simon

Did not get the wireless card working. In the end used an Apple Airport Express as a wireless bridge connected to the wired LAN card which works fine.

That's pretty much how I had my Aquatronica set up - a Belkin wireless bridge connected to the Ethernet module. Since then I've run CAT5 to every room in my house, so the ProfiLux has a permanent network connection.

I'd love to know what the issue was with your WLAN car though!
