Xiaan, over on the Profilux support forum has released a nice little desktop program for extending the monitoring capacities of your Profilux.
This works whether you have the Profilux connected to your PC via RS232, USB or w/LAN.
It can be configured to poll your Profilux as often as required even at 1min intervals which is great to see how often certain sockets are on and adjust your settings to conserve energy.
It can be configured to connect on each data request, which will mean that normal use of the Profilux software can be acheived at the same time.
Here is a screen shot of Xiaan's system:

Full details of the application and downloads can be found here:

Enjoy... and thanks Xiaan

No credit to me at all, it is all Xiaan's work, he only started working on it a week or so ago. Just shows what is capable from the GHL Profilux.

Any chance Xiaan's can write a program that allows us to change the name of the probes, pH 1 or pH 2 does not mean much being able to change this to PH Tank or PH Cal/R would be cracking.

You should be able to write an SQL decode into the code quite easily for the above problem!
:)
thanks to Xiaan, looks like an awesome tool :)

The sensor descriptions on the left hand side are from the Profilux and limited to the preset names or for sockets the descriptions you enter in the Profilux Control software.
You can however (under options) change the display name for all the graphs that appear on the right.
I have had a bit of a play with this software tonight and it is excellent and I am sure Xiaan will develop it further.

LB - have you asked this question on the GHL forum? I too find it rather limiting that sensors can't be renamed. Matthias is usually very quick at answering technical questions - even if the answer is "no", at least we'll know not to live in hope!

Have been using this App for a while and can defo recomend using it. It really extends the usefulness of the GHL - I can now log weeks / months / years worth of data to compare back to.
GHL should be paying this guy some serious money for this app!!!
So when's the GHL III coming out Steve?

It's an excellent app, and it keeps being developed which is great. The PIII will have a web interface built in which will make it much easier for applications like this.
the PIII is later this year, no specific date available yet.
