Grotech 150

Hi i have a Grotech 150 skimmer, when i first got it it was super and making loads of lovely frothy bubbles. Just lately its not doing this, so i took it all to bits and cleaned it all including the Eheim 1250 pump. I have noticed this since i made my sump level higher which i thought would be ok with this skimmer as its not level dependant like a ATI. I have made a frame out of egg crate to sit it on so its at the original height but no change at all. Can anyone throw some light on what i may be overlooking as i am nearly getting ready to bin it and go back to an ATI. :thanks: Eric

It is a little hard to asertain whats going wrong Grotech is a pretty simple skimmer in the sense its a venturi.

Is it simply not making as many bubbles or is it to do with the levels.

Hi Jez its not making as many bubbles as it did when i got it last year. Its beyond me as i have had skimmers since they came out but this is baffling me. Eric:D

Have you try to connect the air pump to it. See whether any changes on skimming...
