i bought the above pump from reefdreams on the 7th of march and i am nearly delighted with the pump. works great and does everything it says on the tin.

my only problem is, i can get it running near silent with only a slight noise but after a day or so the wet side seems to move and then the dry side starts vibrating quite loudly. i am guessing its the wet side moving.

have the pump on a betta 680 and the glass thickness is 8mm. i have the spacer set too 3/8" as, by estimates this is the closest to 8mm.

glass is spotlessly clean on both sides.

i am hoping one of u guys can give me some help regarding this. its obviously apita.

regards
darren

I would set the pin spacer to 1/4'' and see if it improves:)

3/8'' is closer to 10mm

No you won't, you can adjust them (pin spacer) for different glass thickness.

This just made it harder to get the pump quiet at all. In fairness though only had 30mins to give it a try but struggledto get the pump running as quiet aswhen the pin spacer isset to 3/8's. I'll give it another try tomorrow when I get home from work.

Its not very helpful when most of our tanks are metric and the pin spacer is imperial, just thought it might have made a difference, for the better not worse.

My tank is 10mm and mine are set at 3/8.
