Lights on D-D 24G????

Sorry if this is a bit long winded.....

I have the D-D 24G, my question is about seperating the normal (day) lights and the blue led (night) lights......

Theres two cables which connect into the transformer, i presume one is the normal lights and the other is the blue led lights. So if i figured out which cable is which, an then contact the manufacturer and get another transformer (same as the original), then connect the normal lights through one transformer and the blue led lights through the other transformer, i could have them an seperate timers??? Would this work or am i talking nonsense :)

I would ask the question on Reef Central as there are many of these units in the states and many people who mod their units who can give you the answer.

The current lid has the fans and LEDs connected through the same circuit board.
