Pinch punch... it's the first of the month and it's April Fools Day.
There's no joke about this tank... well maybe just one! It started off as a project for his eldest daughter! How that one got past the approval committee the rest of us reefers will have to wonder (future reef keepers may want to make a note of it - it's worked in this case!!)
Congratulations Nigel on being UltimateReefs April 2009 Tank of the Month.

Brilliant set-up. Results well worth the effort.
Stunning, Well done mate.
very nice, amazing transformation in just 12 months!
I must add that much of what I've learnt and implemented on this tank I have picked up from UR members, so I must say a big thank you to all that have helped me over the last 12 months. If I had not of found UR then I'd have probably been running a reverse flow system with Siporax in a canistor filter, Sanders skimmer and Saxo table salt (well maybe not the Siporax).
So thanks to all for the kind comments and the support.
Looks great
Well done :)
fab tank  and congratulations on TOTM :applause::applause:
Well done Nigel, and very well deserved, looking forward to your next one...;)

Starter of Nori
Main of Krill
Dessert of Lobster eggs
And the corals will be having an Oyster/Phyto feast combo
Me, just a cup of tea and a sit down and watch the tank for a whlie;)

congratulations, fantastic tank! I had a feeling after meeting you and having a look at your tank that you would one day win TOTM
Congratulations again, fantastic achievement
Fantastic looking tank, Well done. Can I ask, how noisey do you find the Tunze overflow?
Lee

Thanks Ashley, I will call by in the summer:)

Lee
Yes it makes some noise although not that bad, I will work on reducing it but I know then I'll find another noise and get caught up in the "chasing noise" game, and whilst things work well I accept it as a lesser evil.
Congratulations - really nice setup, and shows what can be done with a corner tank.
One wee question if you don't mind - I've got an ATC800 that I'm going to use for my new build, but am still waiting for delivery of my Aquamedic titanium heater. What have you used with your ATC?
Cheers, Ted

The 300w heater was the original that was supplied with the Trigon from Juwel and the 200w is a Jaeger (Eheim) heater. Both have internal thermostats that are set slightly higher than the required temp and are then controlled with/without power by the ATC300.

Beautiful, a real slice of the ocean.
I thought I had posted a comment in here but when I checked I had posted it in last months TOTM but the comment was meant for here:o
Awsome tank dude. It really is stunning.
Absolutely brilliant and a very well deserved TOTM.
Phill
Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, it's a good reality check sometimes to know that you heading in the right direction. I've decided to keep going with the Trigon for this year and see how far I can take it, I had planned a DELTEC Panorama for mid 2009 but the recession has killed that one just for now... well that and having to get a new car (SWMBO has stolen my Land Rover:annoyed:)
Absolutely stunning, good job.
Well done mate, "outstanding".
Well deserved, amazing build, these TOTM are really inspirational, if a little jealousy envoking!
Well a final thanks to all for the positive comments. Writing a TOTM makes realize how far your tank has come and how far it still has to go...
Now I can't wait to read the May 09 TOTM !
Thanks
