Hi

Just bought one of the above, but there are not any sort of instructions included. It is all connected up but I am wondering is there a maximum running time? and/ or cooling period??

The pump is really quiet (nice bit of kit) and do you need to maintain any parts at all ????

Sorry for all the questions, but if there was some instructions included I wouldnt need to ask.

Many thanks
George

The instructions are being worked on and should be available soon. The set up etc of the pump is straight forward, but you are wise to ask about running periods etc.

Regarding running of the booster pump, it is best to run it for several hours, say 4 -5 then give it a break for an hour or so.

The pumps are not designed to run 24/7 as this will potentially burn them out.

Usually most people run them for short periods as this gives them enough water for their needs and the pump spends more time off than on.

We don't have any spare parts for these pumps such as diaphrams etc. These pumps are not easy to repair and most people usually scrap the pump once it comes to the end of its working life. If looked after you should get a fair useage out of the unit.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for that Leigh, roughly how long is the working life of this pump?

I think it would depend on the amount of RO you produce and how often you use the pump joe.Ive never actually needed a booster pump as my water pressure is good but a friend has a booster pump and although i havent seen the D&D unit it would seem most RO pumps should be run at least a couple of times a week so as to maintain the seal.
