View Full Version : Auto top-up valve
Hi All
I am looking for a valve that can be controlled electronically from my profilux system. I would like it to open/close the valve to allow RO water into the system for the auto top-up feature. Anyone know what are the options available?
Thanks

Most people use a pump which is controlled by their computer, rather than a valve. However, a solenoid valve will do what you want - I bought one from RS Components.
Hi Ian
Is it possible to connect a 12VDC solenoid to the 1-10V output of the profilux or must I go with the 220V digital plugbar?
I am kinda running out of available plugs so would prefer to use the 1-10V outputs.

The 1-10V outputs are designed to connect to various interfaces - if you are reasonably competent with electrical bits and pieces you could use the dimmable ballast driver (EVG-AP-2F) to turn your solenoid on and off as it has a built-in relay.

As Ian says, the 1-10v interfaces are for signals only and not to drive a component itself. The EVG-AP-2F card uses a separate power supply via a relay and the 1-10v is just the signal that controls the power.
