Deltec have determined that variations of noise between different individual skimmers originates from the tolerances between the shaft and the ceramic bearings in the impellor.
They have now committed to buying a more expensive version, (previous ones came from the UK) where the tolerances are much tighter. When running these in the factory there is apparently very little noise and hardly any vibration to cause resonance in te skimmer itself.
All skimmers that leave the factory from now on will have these fitted as standard.
