Has anyone put their skimmer on night shift. What I mean is would it be ok to run the skimmer after lights out, then off when lights come on. I know there are issues with water oxygenation and PH at night, but does the skimmer have to be 24/7 or not.

I run mine mostly at night.......by mid day it's not producing skimmate any more.....no more waste I suspect.

When I get more fish in I may have to run it 24/7.

i turn mine off when im watching tv,,,, that skimmer is blØØdy loud
