View Full Version : Faulty Float Switches (x2)

Hi Steve

In the last 9 months I have been through two float switches. I'm not too sure what the problem is, the float switches just seem to "stick" (Not physically) on the always down position.... And when I move them up and down by hand the value doesn't change, it just sticks on "-", and doesn't change back to "X".

I'm not sure if this is related at all, but the Y splitter I have doesn't seem to work with these two switches either? I have tried both the level 1/2 port and the Level 3 port, with the same results.

The latest float switch I installed only lasted 6 weeks before it became faulty.

If these float switches get submerged, do they brake?

Can I ship these back to you for testing?

Cheers
Robbie

Thanks Steve

I will ship these back to you tomorrow (Wierdly enough the one float switch is working again now). You can ask Wrecker777 a he's seen this problem first hand on my system. It just seems to be intermitant. I'll send them back and see if you can't figure out what the issue is. In the meantime I've ordered up an optical level sensor from STM to see if this works seemlessly.

Thanks once again for your help Steve.
