D & D Power Compact Lights (50/50)

Hi,

I am going to order a pair of T5 Power compacts (50 White/50 Blue 36 Watts) for my nano tank. I know that the white tubes are 10000K, but I am not sure if the blue tubes are pure actinic lights? What is their kelvin value please?

I have been waiting for one day for this query. Isn't there anyone in D & D who knows a bit about this particular product?

The listed kelvin rating from the supplier is 10,000k for the white and 7,100 for the blue actinic.

A fellow UR reefer has just pointed out that kelvin ratings for actinic tubes may not be right as 7100 is close to daylight spectrum. I noticed that myself, but could not rephrase my original question to get the kind of answer I have been searching. THis is because lack of expertise and knowledge in terminology in light technologies.

With the help of my fellow reefer, here is the repharesed question. I hope you can help:

What is the level in % terms of 03 Actinic in the D-D 50/50 PC lamps?

D & D lights are supplied by a company called JBJ. D & D folks, please correct me if I am wrong. Apologies if I am wrong. This is the web site for JBJ (http://www.jbjlighting.com/bulbs.html).

The terminology used in this web site is rather confusing. I cannot tell with conviction that this light contains true actinic light spectrum.

What JBJ state for the tubes is as follows

COMBO BULB (10,000K/BLUE)
The original 10,000K daylight and blue actinic lamp built side-by-side. This lamp contains a crisp, ice-blue daylight and blue actinic for photosynthetic zooxanthellae algae.

What you will find is that half of the tube is about 6-7000 Kelvin and that the other half is about 20,000K with an actinic peak however I do not know what level of 03 actinic is in the spectrum.

This is really as much as I know but can tell you that people seem to like this tube compared with others on the market and we have been told this by both shops and end users.
