For those that haven't been over to the support forum, there is a new BETA firmware and Profilux Control Software.

New in 4.06
- DALI-support
- Routerfunction now permanently activated
- Menu has new structure, new menu "System"
- Function "Remote" due to space and performance reasons removed
- Timing for control of Aqua Illumination lamps optimized
- Can be used for ProfiLux II Outdoor
- Ouput of alarm reason on display
- Shows states of all sockets on ProfiLux View
- New socket function for complete shut-off of a PTC

I have highlighted some key changes as I know people here were requesting them.

Please remember this is at present a beta version so new updates will be made available if something crops up.

It's always best to keep an eye on the support forum for any issues that may affect you:

It is also worth keeping an eye on the German forum translated by google as they have a larger userbase and may find other issues:

I'll update this thread when it has been made a release version and tested fully, but if you would like to TEST this version please download it from here:

Hi,

I've just tried to upgrade to 4.06 yesterday and seem to have the same problems as the people on the GHL forum:

"The software asked during the installation for a file called something like xxx.msi (which I think to remember was pointing at some file from the 405 version). That file was not on my PC and I clicked cancel. Software continued to install but at the end it reported the 406 was not installed properly but the 406 icon was on my desktop and it seems just to work fine.

Firmware update:
The update had no issues at all. Ran smoothly. Only thing I noticed I lost all my settings. The controller had set everything back to "factory settings" which didn't happen from 404 to 405"

Also, when I went into the 4.06 of the pc software I no longer had any information on Sockets or 0-10v in the Extras section. I searched elsewhere and couldn't find them. Because of this I've switched back to 4.05 but can't use my new DALI interface :(

Any ideas?

Thanks
Andy

4.06 is now the latest released version and has been tested by many people.

Remember before you upgrade back up your settings and sensor data from Profilux > PC. Remember that it might look like your settings are still there as the descriptions for sensors and functions are stored on your PC not on the profilux, so it is advisable to load all your settings and sensor data back into the profilux after the upgrade.

The correct sequence is to download the firmware, and then upgrade your profilux with the new firmware using your current software version, then remove your old version of the profilux control software and install the new version. Then connect and restore your settings and sensor data.
