not very good photos but thought Id get the ball rolling:dance:
Im new to rsm's and I know some people have had problems with high temps ( mine seems to be running at 29 c which seems a little high) Tank sits in a cool room. am i going to have to invest in a chiller or does anyone have any tips . Im running a tunze 6025 could this account for high temp. other than that delighted with my tank.
Depending on your fish stocks i would have the lid up when you have your lights off, this lets alot of the heat out, mine was also running at around 29/30 but as soon as i raised the lid for a few hours a night its stabilized at 27.
I think its the heat build up from the lights.
On very hot days i also turn my heater off during the day, has the same effect, remember to turn it back on in the evening tho!!
Hope this helps
Nice looking rockwork and softies John looking forward to this progressing!!!
Keep the piccys coming.

My heater is redundant really (hope it works when needed), tank currently runs 26.5 on cooler nights and up to 28 during the day. I normally prop front flap open couple of inches and run the additional RSM fan that fits at the rear. Also aimed one of the pump outlets close to surface so constantly turning over.
I have even tried removing the sponge and floss to reduce effort required by pump to turn water over, made no difference though. I am running an extra koralia but the tank used to run relatively hot before then. All my fish and corals cope with the gradual daily changes but snails a bit sluggish.
Well done on being the first! I can't wait to get mine up and running :D Your tank is looking great already :D
Mine runs at 25.5 overnight and reaches about 26.5 during the day (it's at 25.7 right now and the lights have been on for 3 hours).
I have the RSM cooling fan timed to come on with the lights though.
