MP40W falling Off magnet

Help....one of my wetsides keep falling off the glass...........no matter what I try, it keeps falling down

Ive had it running now for 3 weeks no problems, them tonight it just wont stick together

Ive cleaned the glass inside the tank..and outside.............Ive even changed the pin settings to make a stronger connection..but no joy!

Do you get any lights flashing on the driver when it happens, is the motor stalling before it happens do you know?

NOPE..no flashing lights..........the wet side just keeps dropping off to the bottom of the tank..............

Have you done any maintenance to the wetside today or has it just happened on its own so to speak?

just done it by itself...........10 times now in the last 30 minutes

its been 4 days now, and the bloody thing still keeps falling off every 10 minutes or so.........Ive gone through all the troubleshotting stuff and reccomendtions etc..Im at my wits end now!..............does anyone know how to get in touch with Jez?

There has been a small number of pumps probably some in our last shipment (not current) where the white ceramic and bearing can swell due to moisture entering the bush material. This causes the pump to lock and spin off.

The defective material was caught very quickly by Ecotech quality control, they have very quickly flown in the new parts for those with problems. As i said this issue effects a very small number of pumps.

If anyone has an issue not yet dealt with then send me a pm. This issue is not time or wear related so does not affect future reliability. Your pump either seizes or flys off now or it doesn't.

Its happened again........its fell of 5 times now this morning........Im ripping my hair out now.........whats the chances of geeting a new full replacement unit please?

same as mine _ sent mine to Jez and it was fine for a week but has been doing it again every day or so, Jez was great and got the pump back to me very quickly but it hasnt solved my issue, peed oof with it , its driving me nuts :( seems some folk have no trouble but others nothing but :( mine also sounds like a washing machine on spin, very noisey :(

While you're waiting for a reply from Jez, you might want to try this:
Turn it off and align both sides. Turn it back on BUT at the slowest speed. After 5 mins turn it up A LITTLE. If it's still together after another 5 mins, turn it up A LITTLE again. repeat this until it's at the speed you want. Admittedly it's not the best solution but it may help with any premature balding until Jez gets back to you. I have to do this with one of mine every time I turn it off for a water change. It was very frustrating at first but now I know how to get around it, it's just one more routine.
