hi tom, many thanks for your help.mine not lighting up at all, would you replace or get led strip from ebay?once again thanks:worship:
why dont you see if someone has a Redsea max close to you ,, maybe they can help ,, dont think much can go wrong with LED'S ,,, what area do you live in ,,,cheers ,,,
If Im reading your post right then you are trying to get the blue part of the white/blue tubes on seperate from the white. Cant be done the blue/white tubes are one unit combined to give a broader spectrum of light. these 2 bulbs (4tubes) work off the timer. The LED (small blue bulbs in the hood ) are worked by the on/off button next to the timer. Hope that helps.
Dont worry about asking question its part of the fun.
hi tom/john,i live in kingston-upon-thames surrey.yes john i thought it would be impossible to light only half the light, but could not find led's anywhere, thanks to tom have now found but they just wont come on whatever i do:(.evidently i'm not missing much as they are meant to be poor,so led's it is.next problem is to get this poxy protein skimmer to skim:annoyed: and to lose the micro bubbles,do the bubbles effect the fish by the way?.:thanks:

Davy, I suggest you start by going to our MAX website www.redseamax.com and following the link through to the manuals, which you can download as a pdf. I am sure it will help you set your lighting properly.

Davy, it's worth noting that microbubbles are often caused by using a salt other than Coral Pro. Many salts contain edta in order to bind possible heavy metals and harmful elements. Because of the unique way we produce our salt, based on using NaCl from the pristine Red Sea itself, edta is not an issue that affects us. Chemicals and even tapwater itself can also cause microbubbles and overskimming.
