RSM 250 Skimmer making a rattling noise

Hi

I have checked my skimmer in my RDM 250. I seem to be getting a sort of rattling noise coming from it. When the Skimmer is off for cleaning the container the noise from my RSM is negible, but when the skimmer is on it is a noticable hum which is heard right throught he house? Is this right?

Check the pump is seated correctly into the skimmer body, I have to dismantle mine once a week put and it back together again, after a few days sounds like a kettles boiling again! If you remove the airline running from the pump upto the tap does it sound like water bubbling away in the tube?
