Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had received theirs yet? Got mine this morning and staring at 4 bare wires wondering what to do? :o No manual in the box, so if anyone can tell me or show via pictures how I'm supposed to hook this up to my profilux it would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
Congratulations on the new arrival – bet it must have been fun opening that box :)
From what I read in the thread about this dimming function on the GHL – I.e. that it connected to the 0-10v port – so I would have expected it to have had a low voltage (don’t know the proper name, but an ethernet style) connection on the cable to the GHL.
Are all the other electrical plugs wired up ok? Do the cables look machine cut, or could the connector have been pulled off in transit?
Would love to see some pictures of this when you get a chance :D
On a side note – got the UK ATI importer looking into getting me a dimmable ATI ballast, so once you’ve got this Star Fire sorted, I am still very keen to talk numbers about your ATI.

Andy,
Everything else is wired up very well it looks almost as if a bit was missed. The guys on RC assure me that theres came with the 1-10v connector in the States so I'm guessing something must have got "forgotten" with this one.
Picture wise, I'll get some posted once I've got it up and running. :D
Cheers,
Chris

Nightmare! Such a shame to have such a substantial piece of kit arrive and not be quite complete :(
Does it work (without dimming) regardless of this cable, or does it need the GHL cable to function?
I would have thought with a product like this that each one would be tested before dispatch, so wouldn’t go out the door with missing parts – hence my question regarding the state of the cabling and whether the connection might have come off in transit.
Hopefully this can be sorted with a trip to Maplin, and the unit doesn’t have to go back to Germany.

I'm guessing it just switches on and off without the GHL cable but haven't really had the chance to anything with it as I put my back out on Saturday :(
I'll wait for Claude to answer my PM before I comment about build quality or testing process. I may be missing something blindingly obvious

 hope the back isn't too serious. Bet then it was the last thing you wanted today - the courier turning up at the door with a heavy light pendant for you
I hope my comments weren't construed as criticising the fauna marin production process... I was just thinking that it might have been something that happened to the cable/connector in transit - easily done if the cable was lose in the box.

Yeah, I felt a right prat having to ask the delivery guy to bring it into the house for me :o
But curiosity overcame pain which is why I opened the box. Actually its quite a light unit in comparison to the powermodule.

Hi
it was just cleared in another Tread
Chris lamp wasn´t send with a GHL - Ready cause in the order we missed to remark the GHL ready version.
So we send him a normal dimmable version.
It is not a big problem cause we have a special box where you can
connect every dimmable lamp to the Profilux to make it GHL READY
