Hi Mark,
Hope you are well.
You sold Neil (numbnuts) a black sun coral last week - well it was actually for me, but I'm struggling a bit. What were you feeding it at the shop?
It's been in my tank since last Friday and I've been trying to feed it every night while the moonlights are on, but it hasn't come out at all :(
I've be trying with Cyclopeze, Reef Snow and Phyto but nothing has prompted it to come out.
Any ideas?
Cheers

hi andy we just put some of the TMC reef feed in the tank and it starts to open then
just squirt some brine and mysis over it (stuff we feed the fish)
give it a bit of time im sure it will come good

Hi Mark,
Thanks mate.
Tried brine and mysis too – tried feeding in the light and in the dark as well. I always tempt all my suns with a bit of food, then leave for 10 minutes so they come out fully before feeding. The black sun coral still hasn’t come out at all and it's nearly a week :(
I even went and checked the tank at 2am on Tuesday night to see if it was open in the middle of the night but nothing.
All my other suns (one colony, three frags) are doing fine and my parameters are spot on.

We have life!!! :D
Just on my way to bed tonight and i notice a couple of heads slightly open :) I made up a bit of food and squirted it - probably 8-10 heads came out. So it's a start
