I'm liking the pastel pallette

Nice scene - lucky beggar! :)

Nice light too. Given a preference I'd probably crop it so its a panorama and get rid of the cloud top left which draws my eye towards it.

Really nice view.. as above, I'd trim it down and lose the cloud at the top..

The colours are gorgeous.

You think this crop works better? I kinda liked the cloud, without it, it looks like a generic postcard shot. I do agree it is distracting tho

Nah.. the postcard shot would have a sheep front and left!

It's a great shot, works a lot better with the crop.

Another one from a bit higher up on a different day.

I don't know who J.E. is. I don't know who J.E. was. But J.E. scratched his name into a rock before placing it in a cairn for someone to find it.

I found it.

I like this shot, it captures the slope of Cumbria down into the Solway Firth

That last one is really atmospheric, and I think the best of the bunch. Consider that every time I am taking pics I always think the rule of thirds, and you have got the horizon bang in the middle and it totally works. Can you do a bit of tweaking and make the sky a little bit more moody?

that type of moody sky is really rare, not many can photograph it but i'm really impressed at how you have captured his eyes. very nice.

:)

as always your photos are very cool. The moody one looks a little over done for me tho, almost computer 'graphicky' if that makes sense.

Tis very nice Paul - I'll have to come round and bring my D60 and you can show me how to take em like that!

Last time I saw a cairn, I was up Skiddaw... ice snow, and then a sprained ankle...

really like this. sky is purfect..did you alter on computer or use a grad filter???? either way it works very well as a finished pic. i been reading up on what i think is called hdr. where you take multible exposures then add them all together to get the exposure right all over the shot. do you use this method.

last shot is cool too.

love the moody face...i see you went to the same art school as me as thats about the best i could draw a face too :)
