potasium test kit

Hi i have a fauna marine test kit and tested the calibration solution with my refactometer and the sg was 60 and it says on the bottle 23.5, i did notice some salt creep around the lid,so took it back to th shop and they gave me a new bottle and tested this one and it came out at 28 ? I calibrated my refractometer with ro water ????

Hmm i wondering about what you say
the reference solution has always 35 SAL
and not SG
it is impossible that they have
other levels cause they are made to have exact levels for the test
if you want to calibrate you refractometer then use the reference solution

ps, will very high pottasium levels cause brown hair algae when phosphate is very low??

Yes maybe but why you think you will have such a high Pot level ?

because i never checked my first lot of refrence solution, i think the lid was not done up properly.
