View Full Version : Does this work?
Had this on a card for ages, never deleted it as it has been begging for me to do something with it. I looked at it and it said "take a photo of me!" ... so i did, in Staithes, North Yorkshire.

Needs a naked lady standing in there leaning through the sash handing you some hot cross buns on a tray..... :whistling:
ha ha mmmmmmmmmmm hot cross buns
Not sure why but it's much sharper on the left than the right.. maybe it's the wide aperture and not being quite square on?
It works well, maybe a bit central in the frame, but the little tuft of grass at the top is nice.
Perhaps it would suit some texture work?
I like the shot but also noticed the clarity on the left compared to the right. Lovely shot though and I like the idea of naked lady
I don't see how you can have it anywhere other than central in the frame. The whitewash acts as a frame and I like the fact that the subject of the window is equidistant from the edges. I rather think it would look "odd" with the window in any other postion. :D
As to "Does it work?" I think as a composition it does, very much so, but the detail across the image would have to be pin-sharp. The bit of grass and rust streaks down the wall add to it but whilst the LHS looks to be very sharp, the RHS doesn't.

oh yeah, look at that, i didn't even realise that. Amazing what you miss when you constantly look at a pic!
The wall is too white imo.
If you stick it into Photoshop and darken the wall with curves it looks really nice...
