We do have a sticky on phyto culture - have a read a let me know which bits you feel unsure about?

What phyto experience have you had so far and what equipment do you have to start with?

And what are you planning to do with the phyto?

I've got an aquamedic light reactor not sure weather to start with a dish or to start with cultered plankton also what food to feed them.

Hi Daz - it's simplest to start with a live culture. The simplest way to sterilise your culture water is 1 litre in the microwave, 7 mins on high, and then add salt when a little cooler. Have the newly treated water aerating in the vessel before adding your new culture. For nutrient food the Micro Algae Grow is perfect at 1ml per 2.5 litre of culture on setup:
