i recently lost a batch of pods i brought
need to try again can you point me in the right direction please
Hi Tom
Crashes are possible even with identical setups side by side. Overcleaning can be as bad as overfeeding.
No doubt you've seen Zoe's pod thread..... what set up do you have in terms of tanks (number and volume), temp, lighting, timers, type of aeration, water source, salinity, feed, harvesting and cleaning procedure?
Cheers

If you look at the last couple of posts in Zoe's pod thread you can see my setup..
Hi Tom
The temp of 24/25 deg C jumps out as a potential issue especially if it goes higher. The pods we've had for the last 2-3 yrs don't like it in the 25-28 deg C region and die and do better at temps below 22; but they did come from the Welsh coastline so not too surprising really.
Having more than one culture going is always recommended.
Good luck with the next batch.
