Just wanted to let you know that I am thrilled with my new fish & that he is doing very well, as I know you wanted to know he is ok with his new environment - plenty of swimming space for him :laugh:

The clam is also settled in very well (open within 10 min's) after a full nights acclimatization & is a really stunning deep purple :wub:

Lovely Harlequin Tusk best to buy a baby too - look forward to the picks as he colours up. One of the nicest fish in the sea.

Yes seen them Mark, but they are still very transparent with a blue tinge what with him being so tiny.

He keeps coming right to the front of the tank, thats till I pick my camera up lol

Well he had podged out a bit & seemed to be colouring up nicely till last weekend, but I have not seen him for 3 days now going in to 4 & must say I am a little panicked, though there are plenty of hiding spaces in the rockwork where he could be hiding, that said he was coming out & free swimming with the other fish till the weekend so fingers crossed as I would feel awful if he has perished under my care being such a rarity & a real character.

On a side note, the clam is doing very well indeed & has firmly extended its foot on to some LR & IMO must be the best colour Maxima I have seen in some time - Thanks ;)

Well a sad update, he must have perished as he never reapeared, no idea why though as I don't have any aggressive fish & he was already feeding well & seemed to have been gaining weight.

Bummer eh, but you can't win them all

unlucky frank,if your still after one ,i was in birmingham today,they have a nice one in about 6"ish, its that shop with a girls name,hth
