1. One entry per person.

2. The image should not have been been used/posted/published previously on UR or elsewhere, nor should it be used/published/posted on UR or elsewhere until voting has been completed.*

3. Nobody may use other people's images as their own.

4. All shots need to be uploaded to UR (no external image hosting allowed).

5. Water marks and copyright exif data need to be removed to retain anonymity. The image name should be free of any association with your member name or actual name that could be used to identify you as voting needs to be unbiased*.

6. Participants should be active members of UR. An active member is deemed to be someone who has been a member of UR for a period of 1 month and have made 50 posts. Please note that spamming the board with meaningless posts to meet this criterion is likely to get you an infraction rather than a prize.

* I have highlighted the above in order to make it absolutely clear that as far as possible we wish to preserve anonymity and ensure voting is unbiased. Any attempt to canvas for votes, whether on UR or elsewhere, will result in the photograph being withdrawn from the competition.

Competition winners
When the competition ends and the winner has been announced, entrants may replace their image with a copy containing reasonable discreet copyright notices i.e. watermarks and copyright exif data. You will need to PM this image to zimreef (http://www.ultimatereef.net/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=12119) to update the original competition image by request after the winner has been announced if you wish to add your copyright/watermark.

Where a prize is offered, winners may not enter POTM competitions for a period of 12 months (i.e. the duration of the magazine subscription) after submitting the winning entry (This does not apply when there is no prize offered).

These rules can be changed at any point.
