I have my MP40ws set on night that should come on at 23:00hrs but the odd thing is that this creeps about 1 minute a day ie 2 after wks it comes on say approx at 23:14 if you follow.

Anyone else have their time setting move like this ? anyone know how to solve it ?

The only thing I thought of trying was to change one of the slaves to become the master to see if it changes anything:confused:

Hi Ridgeway,

My MP20 does the same. I set mine to switch to night mode @ 11.15 pm & within a 2 week period this creeps up to 11.30. I then have to reset to my preferred time.

Maybe, in The USA their day is only 23hrs 59mins - lol.

As usual we all sat in our own corners thinking it is us:laugh: turns out we ain't mad after all...

How many times have I reset the timing and thought I'm sure I did this a few weeks ago, ah well I must be getting old:laugh:

One for Jezz:whistling:

Sounds like a software bug. Worth reporting back to Vortech!

OK so 6 users have the same issue then I'll bet there's many more.

Any comments Jezz ?

Ah, forgot to add, my 40's and the MP10 all do it, thanks fishross for the prompt. :)

Seems like the 23:59hrs on all the range then, really weird. I'm going to time the gain over a week (sad I know) just to see how much it is.

HI
I will feed this back to the US
IMHO it is probably due to the fact that the controller chips used in the boards do not have a proper hardware Real Time Clock and are using timer divides on the chips to simulate real time functions. These are not very accurate and drift quite quickly as you are seeing.

As I say I am guessing but it would seem one possible explanation.

This would make sense to me, if that's the case then I don't see any quick fix TBH ?

Did a resonse come back from Ecotech on this ever?

IIRC the fix was a firmware update, basically if you have a ES model then you just need someone with a later version to 'flash' the firmware across to yours.

Brilliant thanks Ratters.

Yes since running ES night arrives on time now, it's all very Swiss:)
