Hi Rohan
I know you stock some of Reeds products.
Any plans on stocking their Rotigrow Plus and Rotigreen?
Please let me know if your able to get any in.
Cheers
Neil
Hi Neil
I can check in the meantime I'll organise as sample of the Dry Invert Feed for your current order as it has worked well for both rots and pods. I'll organise some photos and 'how to's' in the next few days.

OK cheers, I see some people on marine breeder raving about rotigrow plus and reed stating they expect it to replace their IA nano in a few years. I like the fact its a blend of algae and should offer a more balanced nutritional profile.
Hi Neil
Just checking - did your sample of the Dry Invert Feed come through OK?

We've had good feedback recently from people using the Dry Invert Feed to rear both rotifers and pods. Another reported use was as a suspension feed mix for sea apples at a public aquaria. My guess is that we'll keep with this product for the moment.

Yup got it thanks.
The rotigrow caught my eye as it appeared to provide improved nutrional EPA/DHA balance compared to the IA nan I usually use for rot culture.
I see the dry invert food contains yeast, do you have any analysis on the invert food. I guess I should expect this to provide a better nutritional profile compared to Nan?
The final consideration I have is that of greenwater, I'm looking for a solution to provide balanced EPA/DHA greenwater (currently I use PhytoFeast for greenwater - but Reed havent posted any nutrional profiles on this product so Im purely guessing that its hitting an ideal balance!). Finally, I'm unsure if using the invert food would pollute the larval tank too quickly.
Sorry for all the questions about low-cost products, but this is about passion for bringing through harder species and not commerce :p
Yes Neil - my bad and I'll organise the details. I'm pretty confident you'll be happy anyway.
Cheers
Hi Neil
Here's the nitty gritty the standard dry invert feed has a DHA:EPA ratio of approx 0.7:1 should there be sufficient demand it may be possible to organise a mix with DHA:EPA ratio of 2:1 including a much high HUFA content for March/April time. What takes your fancy?

No bad on your part...I was apologising for asking lots of questions for a little product sale :)
Thanks for the data.
For now all I can find is conflicting data on the ideal DHA:EPA ratios so even if I did find a way to dial in a specified nutiritional profile I dont have a set of paramters to aim for. I plan to identify the profile of my current feed and then run some batches with the dry invert food and see if there are any noticeable differences.
Thanks for your help.
Neil
Hi Neil
As an additional point the HUFA enrichement for your brineshrimp has a DHA:EPA ratio of 2.5:1 with a HUFA content of approx 200mg/g i.e. very potent
