Hi Mark

Thanks for the pair of bangaais that I picked up the other day.

What were they feeding on in the shop? One is feeding OK but the other is being fussy

Thanks

in case it helps. I found my bangaai's were fussy and only ate brime shrimp.

Thanks for that, do you mean frozen or fresh brine shrip? did you manage to wean them onto anything else?

frozen brime shrimp. Tried all sorts of frozen food but they would only eat the frozen brime shrimp. Lovely fish though. Well worth the effort.

it might not eat if it's got a mouth full of eggs mate :)

Hi Porter Painter

Nice thought but they are a little small yet I think.

One seems to take frozen mysis fine but the other takes in food (of all sorts) but spits it back out straight away.

They get a mix of brine and mysis and they are also big enough for the male to have a mouthful of eggs.
Regards Mark.

Cheers

Got him (her?) feeding on live brine so not holding eggs.

Anyone got any good tips for weening them onto frozen?
